We received the spare part in perfect conditions, unfortunately when we went to replace it, it was impossible to remove the old one as it was completely rusted in place (with only 2 years of use), despite the fact we used the Cosmogrill cover and kept it clean.
Had to throw away the grill, expensive and really not worth it if you need to replace the whole thing every 2 years.
Was pleased it was easy to identify the part I needed rather than buy a whole new bbq. Delivery was quick.
Given the location of the part, it would have been good to have the necessary bolts for fitting also included with the charcoal tray as the originals have perished and degraded over time given their job when coals are alight.
Our Cosmo XXL BBQ is into it's 4th season and had proved a great buy. The only complaint was the short lived cover - which despite being of a heavy gauge material, rotted through before the second winter. I gave the whole outside of the BBQ a couple of coats in a matt finish heat resistant paint which seems to provide all the weather protection needed!
The BBQ itself is great - the cast iron grids are so easy to maintain - most residue is easily burned away for an an easy scrape off and brush down..
After nearly 4 years the charcoal tray was starting to delaminate, so a replacement was ordered. This arrived in just 4 days and is of superior construction to the original. The replacement has underside bracing which prevent the tray from any distortion in use due to the hot coals.
Now our XXL smoker BBQ is better than new!
The replacement charcoal tray is excellent, in fact it is much better than the original one on the barbecue
Can't fault the service...yet again..I've ordered new parts for the BBQ over the last few years and the service has been excellent..both on the phone with the customer services and the speeding which the producta have been sent.
