Pro 4+1 Gas Barbecue

I ordered online and scheduled a day in advance to receive the BBQ, it arrived on time. I had reached out to customer support to ask a couple questions about the delivery and Ian was incredibly helpful, and all in all the delivery went well with absolutely no issues. (The parcel was HUGE- and I had a hard time hiding it from my husband ahead of his birthday!)
It took my relatively handy husband about 2 hours to build (including the time opening everything up and figuring out what was what)- the only points he raised during the construction process was that the base shelt was slightly bent/bowed, this was easily straightened and wasn't an issue at all. And he said he really wished the screws were magnetic to hold onto his screwdriver (apparently would have made the assembly a bit easy and less fiddly)

We used the BBQ the next day (after figuring out the gas to buy and to get the regulator) and all in all it was a very successful Braai for us!! The size is perfect and the food was delicious.
I did decide to purchase the cast iron grill and grill plate and I'm SO glad I did, they seasoned easily and cooked like a dream!!! Can't wait for BBQ weather now! Our new BBQ is snug in the garden under its beautiful cozy cover:) thank you!

Other than a slight bit of damage to the bottom tray it is very good for the money I straightened the panel and fitted it .which once fitted you could not tell .

Having owned the CosmoGrill Pro 4+1 for less than 2 months, I have already started to see corrosion and rust built up around the outside of the cook box. I have used the BBQ most weekends and whilst it cooks well enough, as would be expected, it’s clear the materials used are not adequate enough for a BBQ. I have seasoned the grill, throughly cleaned after every cook and maintained it according to CosmoGrills recommendations as well as general BBQ good practice, including the use of their own weatherproof cover. To see this failing of paint and rusting after only 8 weeks of ownership is incredibly poor and disappointing.

As always, it’s best to speak to the company first, and try to reach an amicable solution, but on this occasion I was fobbed off with the usual excuses and an obvious attempted and trying to wriggle out of any warranty, blaming me for using a corrosive cleaning agent (not true, baseless assumption) and not airing it (also not true, a patronising statement, and baseless fact, I know how to look after a BBQ). The fact of the matter is if the paint of this BBQ is peeling and rusting within 2 months, it is not made from adequate materials to sustain the cooking and cleaning over a prolonged period of time, essentially making this useless as a BBQ.

Having done some through investigating it appears there are a number of similar experiences of this BBQ basically falling to bits from corrosion within a short space of time. I didn’t expect that to happen on a BBQ at this price point, and certainly not this quickly. I have garden furniture that has lived outside in the sun sleet and snow for years, and held up better than this has.

Most of the reviews you read on their website will be from people who have just received and assembled it. Ignore them and look at the review for people who have owned and used this for a longer period of time, they certainly paint a different picture. My advice, do not buy this BBQ, and do not buy from this unscrupulous company. It will not last, the warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on and you’ll be throwing your money away. I am very disappointed, and regret buying this BBQ. I wish I paid an extra couple of hundred quid and bought a Weber instead.

I have not used the product as yet. However, the service I received from CosmoGrill wasn’t the best. I purchased a barbecue during a bank holiday deal, only to find that the price dropped even further the very next day under the same promotion. I reached out hoping they would match the new price, but they didn’t, which was quite disappointing. It’s frustrating when you can’t rely on consistent pricing or expect a fair resolution as a recent customer. A bit more transparency and flexibility would really help improve the overall experience.

BBQ delivery was easy and uncomplicated.
Instructions fairly clear but assembly design very poor. With long bolts needed to pass through 2 holes and into another threaded hole and no gas destructor or hose which I don’t think was made clear on website
