Our cast iron griddle plate features both a ridged and a smooth side, allowing you to perfect a variety of recipes, from meats and vegetables to eggs. The flat plate is crafted to retain and distribute heat evenly, ensuring beautifully cooked food with rich, complex flavours.
Each griddle plate is designed to sit in place of ONE grill grate on the Ignis Smoker Charcoal Barbecue. The Ignis Smoker Charcoal BBQ can accommodate up to 4 griddle plates; 2 in each chamber. However, for optimal airflow and consistent cooking performance, we recommend replacing no more than 1 grill grate in each chamber.

Usage Instructions
When used with our barbecues, this cast iron griddle is designed to be used with adequate airflow. When in use, the entire cooking surface of the barbecue must not be fully covered with flat plates or griddles, as this can restrict airflow.
A grill grate does not need to be used to fill the remaining space. However, part of the cooking surface must remain open to allow proper airflow and ensure the barbecue operates correctly.
Please ensure this guidance is followed during use.
Care & Maintenance
Clean the cast iron with warm, soapy water after it has cooled slightly. Use a non-abrasive sponge for routine cleaning. For stubborn residue, a scrub brush or steel wool may be used if needed. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry immediately after cleaning.
After drying with a towel, it's best to place the griddle plate over low heat for a minute or two to evaporate any remaining moisture. Applying a thin coat of oil goes a long way to help maintain the seasoning.
NEVER place cast iron in a dishwasher as this will reduce the structural integrity of the product, remove any or all pretreated seasoning and likely cause rusting.
